Italica daytrip from Seville

Weve been enjoying Seville for the past few days and we were thinking of taking a side trip to Italica. What's the best way to handle this? Bus, train??? We can't figure if it's a good idea. Any feedback would be great!!

I made this excursion quite a few years ago. At that time getting there by bus was convenient. I found the ruins well worth the trip, but then I'm a fanatic for Roman ruins, and a particular fan of the city's founder, Scipio Africanus.

Responding to this from work so don't have all the details except this which I had in my notes - the ruins of the Roman city Italica, some 25 mins by bus from the Plaza de Armas bus station.
We did this when we were there in April - very easy bus trip - drops and picks up right at the entrance. It is an amazing place and the mosaics are especially wonderful.

I recommend it very much, the bus leaves frequently from the Plaza de Armas bus station just by the river a little north-west of the Santa Cruz district. Italica’s amphitheater seated 25,000 spectators, the third largest in the Roman empire, and it's very much intact. Roman emperors Trajan - allegedly the best of them all - and Hadrian were born here.

A nice little tapas bar/restaurant right across the street from the entrance.
