Italian translation help please

Hi,

I have an Italian who I haven't seen in many years. And we started talking again recently. In this time apart I have not kept up practising my Italian. He sent me this message and wondered if it was in a friendly way or a ' I love you way' ???
Could someone help me please.

volevo dire che ne ho sentita una ma e d amore, la vuoi sentire il stesso

Thank you

I'm a little rusty, especially with written Italian and when there's no context, but this, to me, translates to something like:

"I wanted to say I felt love, I want you to feel the same."

However, you may want to consult with a native speaker before purchasing the wedding dress.

- una ma e d amore - there is something missing here. This is not clear.

la vuoi sentire il stesso - is there a question mark missing? Also the correct Italian is lo stesso. This error raises questions.

Is it really a he? "Ho sentitA" indicates that the writer of the message is female.

nochblad has already mentioned other problems that make the message unclear. Please recheck...

Italians, especially the younger generation, write with bad grammer, abbreviations and typos in messages (phone, fb etc). Xke for perchè for example.... I think he wanted to write "un mare d'amore". There are other mistakes too. Should be "lo stesso", for example. I think he is trying to say "i wanted to say i felt a sea of love, do you want to feel the same" but not 100% clear - do tell him you don't understand and need explanation.
