Italian trains

What is the easiest way to understand the train schedules in Italy? Are any of them published in English? We looked at the website for Trenitalia and could not find a link for English. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I always use the www.bahn.de German rail site for schedules all over Europe including Italy as it is so easy to use and just as accurate, schedule wise, as trenitalia.com in my experience.

My favorite website for train info and the people, yes, real live people, who answer their phones are quite helpful.
