I'm trying to find the train station names for Italian towns to use on the Trenitalia website. Is there a guide somewhere that has all of these? I'd like to see where in the Veneto I can go from Verona. Thanks, once more, for all your help!

JB - I think the problem only arises on the Trenitalia website where towns have more than one station (e.g. Verona).

Otherwise you just enter the town name in full e.g. Vicenza, Padova, Treviso, Bassano del Grappa ...

The main station in Verona is Verona PORTA NUOVA.

Maybe I've misunderstood your Q? Let me know if I can be of more help ...

Steve- thanks for your reply. Your respone helps, but I guess I wasn't very clear in my initial question. I blame it on this head cold thing my co-workers were nice enough to share with me.

We're only visiting towns in the Veneto by day trips out of Verona, so I didn't want to plan on going to a town we couldn't get to. Is there a list or a map that has the train stations/towns and routes between them? Is the Trenitalia site the best one to use for this information?

I can't find a regional rail map for Veneto, but the main east-west route is
VERONA-VICENZA-PADOVA-VENICE

There are also direct trains to TREVISO - though others require a change at Mestre.
Another day-trip option is MANTOVA.

You can find journey times and timetables on Trenitalia.

Any of the above make fine day-trips. Lake Garda is also accessible by bus from Verona.

If you want to go beyond Veneto, TRENTO is less than an hour.

Thank you so much, Steve! We have a detailed map of the Veneto, but not one with roads. I discovered more features on the Trenitalia website, but I'm just starting on Italian so it takes me a while to translate. With your information, I should be able to put it all together.
