Day trip to Verona
I'm taking a day trip to Verona, Italy and I'll be getting off at the Porta Nuova train station. I'm not sure where anything is located in relation to the train station. Does anyone know where I could go from there to see tourist attractions? And how would I get there? are the places walkable, or do I need to take a specific bus?

The city is very walkable, with the beautiful Adige river as your guide. You may want to get a guide book that contains information and a map of the city. Do you know what the "tourist attractions" are? If not, is there any particular reason you are going?

I'm currently living in Milan....doing some traveling.
Things I'd like to see in Verona:
Juliet's House
Piazza dei Signori
Piazza delle Erbe
Castelvecchio
Arena di Verona
I have no idea where any of that is at, coming from the train station.

Wikipedia has a pretty good summary of Verona's history and tourist sights, but you'll need a good map. You might be able to buy one at the train station, or perhaps you could seek out the Tourist Information Office as your first stop.

Hi Dzyre - From the railway station jump on a bus to Piazza Bra (- for the Arena).
All the sights are walkable from there.
Hope this helps ...
Steve
P.S. Don't forget to 'validate' your bus ticket on boarding.
They can be bought at any newspaper kiosk in the station ...

If you are living in Milan and interested in doing some trips from there you might want to invest in a book like the Michelin green guide to Italy which has decent small maps of the cities for initial planning purposes and good descriptions of basic sights
According to Frommer's city guide there is a small tourist office at the train station in Verona. There are some descriptions of bus links from the station to Piazza Bra by the Arena

You reach that area by walking straight from the train station up Corso Porto Nuova
