Dukey, thanks so much for a wonderful TR. I've taken lots of notes from this thread because we'll be in Turin for a week beginning tomorrow and then Bologna the following week.
I have one question. The food tour you took from italiandays seems similar to the one celticmoon mentioned (different tour company) but hers included either the Ferrari tour or museum (I've posted on a different thread to ask her which). Did yours include one or both of those too?

No, ours did not include either of those; we did the cheese-making, the balsamic vinegar, and the ham stuff and ended with a wonderful late and long lunch. We enjoyed it a great deal.
BTW, are you going to do the mosaics in Ravenna? [I believe they are on your list, no?] We did it by rail and walked to most, but not all, the sites. The mosaics are impressive; perhaps not quite as overwhelming as some in St. Petersburg but impressive.
Enjoy Bologna; we're already planning a return visit.
