Italian Designer Eyewear

I butted into another thread yesterday with this question, but no one answered me so here goes:
I want to buy some designer eyewear when I am in Italy this Spring, which designers do you recommend? It seems like alot of you buy your eyeglasses there so please let me know. I want to buy sunglasses. Thanks.

Here you are some italian designers that have their own glasses and sunglasses (besides fashion): Valentino, Armani, Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, Fendi (I have Fendi's glasses for example and they are neat), Rocco Barocco, Versace and many other european brands (french mostly). In large cities you can find easily large optic shops with a wide range of brands and kinds of glasses. If you dont know where to find the shops, either ask the hotel concierge or get the yellow pages (under OTTICA or OCCHIALI).

Hi Natalia,

I just replied to a similar question, so if you look up the other thread on eyewear, it should pop up.

The eyewear factories are in the northern part of Italy, so you will get a better selection in Milan and Venice.

Hi Kiki, I will be in the Sorrento area this time, but maybe there are shops there too. I went to lenscrafters and they only sell prescription sunglasses, so I will wait until I get over there. Besides when I wear them I will remember where I bought them!
Thanks for all the tips.
