There are all different types of Italian ceramics, made in different regions, and they vary in style. So if you are looking to buy more of the type you saw, you should try a google search for "ceramics Tuscany" or "ceramics Umbria" or "ceramics Sicilia" or "ceramics Amalfi" or "ceramics Emilia-Romagna" etc. If you are looking for something very specific, try "ceramics plus town name" of where you were.

I found an old thread here that mentions www.fidiaderuta.com/ante1.htm. I just checked the sight and it looks pretty good. Lots of nice things.

It really is quite regional--you need to narrow your scope.

We toured a fabulous ceramics factory in Deruta. The name is U. Grazia. The web site is www.ubaldograzia.com
We saw the clay, the molding, firing, artists, etc. Dr Ubaldo Grazia is the 25th generation in his family to run the business. He told us that 80% of their ceramics are shipped to the U.S. They were featured in the Chicago Tribune January 2, 2005.
Another company is www.derutaitaly.com

Hi suzanne, you might enjoy looking at www.thepotteryco.com

This is an outlet in Santa Barbara, CA that carries ceramics from the various regions of Italy. I have purchased items from them when I have been in Santa Barbara and have been more than pleased. All items are from Italy. They give wonderful service btw. I have bought items when in their store and also online. Enjoy!!

http://www.geribi.com/

I have bought pieces from them on two different trips to Deruta. Their website has a huge selection of what they have to offer, and will make up any piece to order.

When we were in Ravello last year, we shipped some dishes home from a store called Ceramiche D'Arte. They have a great website:

ceramichedarte.com

I also purchsed beautiful ceramics from Ubaldo Grazia in Deruta and they shipped them to me in good condition. I highly recommend Ceramiche Rampini. I have bought beautiful pieces from their shops in Radda in Chianti and Florence. Their website: www.rampiniceramics.com Their shipping was very fast and the pieces have always arrived in perfect shape, very well packed. I appriciated their emails telling me tracking numbers and expected date of arrival in the US.
Several friends recommended Rampini to me as they were pleased with them.
