For anyone interested, I have our first six days (London and day trip to Hampton Court...great photo ops there) up on my website (with photos from Kim, Mary, Tracy and me). Brings back great memories of our trip.

Great photos. Thanks!!
This is probably such a dumb question. There are several warnings about the high step climbing up and down from the train near Hampton Court. Is it really that bad ?? Did you even notice ??

I don't remember any problem with steps, and it is about an easy five-minute walk to the gates.

Thanks for spurring me on Susan. I've been woefully slow putting this all together on my website. I have at least added our day at Winchester and Salisbury Cathedral. Bath and the Cotswolds, here we come (with photos)...soon.

lovely pictures, tom, and though I remembered some of your deathless prose from the TR, it didn't detract from the photos [some might even say it enhanced them!]
I now have a confession to make. I have never been to Winchester or Salisbury.
oh, the shame.
I've been past them more times than you've had steak and ale pie [and even more often than Kim's eaten caesar salad in the UK] but never actually got there.
note to self - try to see more of my own country this year.

Tom, I love your photos! Especially the garden shots and the panoramic view of the London government houses.
It is also fun re-reading the trip report with pictures.
I've gotta go look up that sticky toffee pudding thing...

Tom, I'm going in summer. Don't worry I won't like the place. I'm saving A LOT of money staying there instead of the place I previously booked (a manor house where the Crawleys of Downton Abbey might have stayed). Also, I like that I can walk to the town for dinner.
