Thank you BarbAnn, they were full. I have my accommodations now and have to accept what is and continue planning other aspects of our vacation. I would have loved to stay there but it wasn't meant to be. Our little hotel has beautiful views as well. I look forward to it~

Turkey Travel Planner to the rescue. It has never failed us and other that we know. If nothing else it has much info and can relate easily to the No. Amer. mind set. I even noticed a visa requiremnet list for most if not all countries. Hope the guest house is good for you. Happy trails!!

Being in Istanbul now, I think the popularity is that the spring can be warm weather but not too warm, no bugs yet and beautiful skies. I think with all the news media citing Istanbul as a "hot spot". And the fact that prices in Turkey are still cheaper than Europe-but creeping up slowly. Enjoy Istanbul, it can be crazy, chaotic and downright frustrating but also incredible.

What a nighare for you!

Muffy, Keith, and I were so happy with Ritz-Carlton Istanbul.

We stayed in the Koc Suite.

We hated Sultanahmet, would never dream of sleeping there, but we did have a very nice meal at Yesil EV.

Are you going on to Buyukada?

Have fun!

Thin

I wouldn't go to Buyukada for the day.

We stayed at the Splendid Palas Hotel for a few days. The hotel has a swimming pool.

The big tourist site on the island is the monastery.

You can also take a carriage ride around the island.

The gold ladies at the Splendid Pallas are a hoot.

Sin has its price.
