Is this you?
I saw this on Annie Mole's "Going Underground" blog and immediately thought of all those action-packed itineraries people post here....

Good picture.
I think it are those guidebooks that make people pack as many attractions as possible into their itineraries and then miss the places' atmosphere.
Recently someone wrote here about a certain region "there is nothing to do but hike or take boat rides, swim, eat" - I would favour all these activities over a breakdown on a parkbench!

Packing a lot into one day -not necessarily tourist musts or museums exhilarates me - so do what suits you without worry about what others may think.
It seems often that Fodor's oligarchs cannot just remember their first trips when yes they wanted to see and do anything - i hate to tamper this enthusiasm with comments typically given by Fodor's oligarchs - "you got to be crazy", etc.

Could've been me if it was taken in Oregon Yes, we had sun in Oregon, and in Washington!
Luckily we included chill out days to avoid scenes like that.
It might well be me after my SIL's visit the coming few days however.

Four of us flew in to London--we'd rented a flat from the Atheneum Hotel on Piccadilly and were instructed to check in at the hotel. Did not expect the flat to be ready when we arrived. Went out for a walk, lunch etc. Checked at 2, flat not ready, checked at 4, flat not ready. Decided to sit in the lobby and doze. 4:15, flat was ready!

Well, we were reasonably dressed but by 4 pm London time had been "on the road" in the same clothes for 24+ hours so am sure we were less than fragrant plus big travel handbags, etc. They finally got the message!
