Is there a good walking tour in Paris?

I'm heading to Paris next month and wondering if anyone can suggest a fun walking tour.

There is an on-going, current, and extended conversation on this very subject on this exact board.

Check this website -

We enjoyed the Marais walk and the one in Montmartre was good too. English guide who lived in Paris. The Chocolate Tour could be fun.

There are many www.discoverwalks.com is a fun one

eurocheao.com/paris good free budget city guides

Lots like to save their legs and do the hop on hop off

double decker bus to conserve strength and increase

fun and duration.

Enjoy!

Does it have to be walking? There's the Segway tour. And a bike tour to Versailles.

We did both the Marais and Montmartre tours from Paris Walks and liked both.

Last trip I did several Paris Walks tours, and I liked them. Not too expensive, about 2 hours long, good guides. I planned a few of my days around a tour, exploring the surrounding neighbourhood before/after the tour. One of the morning Marais tours ends at Place des Vosges, perfect for lunch.

Segway and Fat Bike tours are other foot-free options

A couple of other lesser known possibilities:

I just returned from Paris. I signed up for a walking tour with the Paris Greeters, a volunteer organization:

http://www.parisiendunjour.fr/

You are supposed to request a tour 2 weeks in advance but I was tardy and requested one about 5 days in advance. They were able to accommodate me. There were only two of us in our group. Our greeter spoke English very well and really gave us a great tour of the Latin Quarter area (about 4 hours worth!) I highly recommend this organization.
