We were thinking about a weekend getaway to Kiev with friends for a while, but not sure if it is safe there now regarding the measles outbreak. Has anyone traveled there recently?

Have you been vaccinated against measles? If so, then go. If not please stay home.

I am not traveling to Ukraine but I have been advised to get a MMR booster considering recent outbreaks in my local area in California and because I will be traveling to a country (Serbia) with an outbreak of Measles in September.

Do not worry so that not in all parts of Ukraine is unsafe. In Kiev at the moment is already safe. We were in April in Ukraine. We were in both central and western Ukraine. Were in Kiev is a beautiful city with beautiful people))) And believe me, we didn’t make any injection of measles)
