I did steve, thanks. When we went to Vivoli we were in a group of 7 and one of the guys, who is a control freak at the best of times, took off on what seemed to be a wild goose chase with a map and a promise of 'the best gelato you've ever eaten'. We were very pleased that we followed him.

Just like ice cream and gelato in the USA, some in Italy is mass produced, some not.

If you are ever in NYC try Il laboratorio del gelato. Not as good as Italy but damn fine.
