Is Burano/Torcello worth a visit if I only have 3 1/2 days in Venice?

The lace museum on Burano is worth a visit.
When we visited, there were old ladies actually making lace.
As usual, there are places selling tourist tat, but you can find beautiful table-cloths and other items.
The real thing comes with a label

Depending on your interests--
We spent just 3 days in Venice and did a day trip to other islands. As others said, it was a great break from the crowds and a highlight of our visit.
We made it a long day, enjoyed the scenery and shops, stopped at a waterside restaurant that looked interesting on one island for a great outdoor lunch, then snacked at another place in the evening.
On the day before and after we saw a museum, church, palazzo, squares, wandered neighborhoods, took vaparetto rides, ate gelato, etc. We did not see all the museums, palazzos or churches in Venice, but we usually just choose one or two in each city because we prefer to spend most of our time outdoors.
