Is $569 a fair price to fly SFO to Brussles?
I need to book airfare for a family member w/o computer access. The best price I have been able to come up with is $569 rt. I have no experience with Belgium/Germany travel. They actually need to be in Luxembourg but airfare is $350 more pp. The dates are over Easter, April 5 to the 14th. Thanks for any imput.

It's not bad, if it includes all taxes. You're already getting out of the very lowest fare season by that time, you've got a holiday involved, you're traveling from the west coast and you have some specific dates you're trying to hit. Might it show up lower after you lock in? Sure, but probably not a LOT lower and there is some risk involved that it will increase. Are you getting a carrier that will allow the flight to produce some FF bennies of value? If so, then I don't think I would feel too badly about booking it.

If it were me, I'd stop looking and purchase that fare. I doubt you'll do better. Icelandair has $234 fares right now to many European cities, but all from the East Coast and good only through sometime in February. Go for it.

A good price for travel in the Spring.
Prices for winter travel that you're seeing advertised now are much lower. They seem to double (or more!) for Spring and Summer. Depressing, isn't it?
Icelandair has lost its competitive spirit. I was trying to fly BWI to Amsterdam in April, and the cost was about $1,200! A shame; I would have liked a short stop-over in Iceland.

I agree with ira that it is a good fare. From Brussels airport, you could look into taking a train to Luxembourg. You should also check SN Brussels Airlines for cheap flights from BRU to LUX.
I checked SideStep for your travel dates and found ticket prices of $808 and up to fly SFO - LUX. Moving the departure a day earlier, to the 4th, gets a ticket price of $586 for SFO - LUX. On the 4th and 14th, the price to/from BRU is 564.
travelocity shows pretty much the same thing: save 200 or more by flying on the 4th instead of the 5th.

Thank you all for your responses. Mrwunfl thanks so much for the early departure idea! I'll pass it on to BIL as it is so much more convenient to fly directly into LUX since they'll be traveling with their daughter. I am going to check it out right now.
Otherwise if that doesn't come through we'll probably bite the bullet & pay the $569 into Brussles. They were hoping to bring Grandma & Pa if the tkts were a little lower, we'll see what happens....will post an update soon.
Again Thanks so much!

I tried Mrwnfrl's Travelocity suggestion and got a rate of $581 on KLM. SFO, stop over in Amsterdam and arrival in Luxembourg. I am waiting to hear back from BIL. SIL is a professional skating instructor and on of her students will be in a worldwide competition. We're also hear from the skater's parents if this is doable for them too. Don't want to wait too long as the rate may disappear. Thanks for the head's up
