Ireland - summer camp for 15 year old daughter

I truly love this forum. I just learned something amazing that I never knew:
www.google.ie
The Google search for Ireland! Wow...that's great.
Anyway, we are in the dreaming stage which soon
needs to become a reality if we want to travel this summer.
Hubby and I were in Ireland over 20 years ago and absolutely loved it. 15 year old daughter has always dreamed of going. She also still
loves "summer camp" with all the arts, crafts, recreation and this may be her last year to "be a kid" and do that. Any ideas as to a good way to start looking for a one week camp in Ireland. We don't want it to be filled with American kids. She wants to meet Irish kids. Then hubby and I could have a little time for just the two of us to travel while she is at camp. It's just a thought!
That Google Ireland search did bring up some stuff but we'll need to do lots of research.
Thanks for any tips you may have.

Lovetotravel2,
You might check with Girl Scouts. I believe in Europe they are called Girl Guides -- just google it. Good Luck. I'll keep reading because you post an interesting topic and I have a teen daughter too.

lovetotravel you could try the following links. I'm not sure if you intended for your daughter to stay at camp and sleep there at night or just a day activities type camp, but you could try the following.

http://www.adventure-ireland.com/newweb/index.htm

http://www.pineforestartcentre.com/

My own daughter attended the last one the Pine Forest art camp when she was 15 and adored it, but its a day activities only.

Try http://www.rockwell-college.ie. It's between Cahir and Cashel so is perfect for exploring Tipperary, Cork, waterford, Kilkenny.

Thank you! This is exactly the type of info we are hoping for. And yes, we definitely are looking for a "residential" camp (1-2 weeks long) not just a day camp because that way hubby and I could go off and do a little traveling on our own too.

Here http://www.setdancingnews.net/wcss
is a link to the Willie Clancy Memorial Summer School scheduled for Jul 1 to 8, 2006. There are music and dance classes and I am told that people come from the U.S. and all over Europe to attend. I don't know about lodging for a 15-year old but I'm sure it could be worked out. They may put up student attendees at St. Joseph's secondary School in Spanish Point.
Registration is 1 Jul., so that should give you ample time to work on it (if your daughter is interested).

I've stayed at Fitzgerald's B&B in Miltown Malbay and golfed at Spanish Point's excellent 9-hole links course. I see from the schedule that they even conduct some classes at the Golf Course (in the Clubhouse).
