Hey Ira...don't let Rick Steves hear about you! We wouldn't want you added to his "the best people to talk to about travel questions" list. We love you just the way you are and don't want the attention to spoil you!

Ira is the eminence grise of this site. (Rats, couldn't type the accent.)

Thanks, Rex. I tried Alt 130, but my notebook ignored it. (When I try Alt+ codes on my desktop, sometimes they work, and sometimes I get kicked out of the site!)

On a notebook, you may have some extra "blue" (Fn?) key that enables numbers mixed in with your letters. You have to use that AND the alt key, plus those numbers "mixed in" (this is your numeric "keypad&quot - - not the numbers at the top.

What I appreciate about Ira, besides his kind prolific helpfulness, is his succint prose style.

I'm a long-time fan of Ira's. What I like about him is that he can disagree with you without getting nasty or personal about it!

I've never cared how often someone posts, after all, I've been accused in my day of posting far too often. However, on one thread I very jocularly put that I'd only posted around 700 (I was actually kind of surprised I hadn't posted) when I got lambasted for my simple remark. You never know when you'll get blasted on this forum for an innocuous remark which goes to show that some people are far too sensitive or take offense where absolutely none was intended. But with Ira that's not been the case!
