Ira, I share Francis_Josephine's remarks. When I posted a question or was in search of information you provided the answers I needed for which I can't thank you enough. You are most helpful and I appreciate your generous, kind spirit.

And here all this time I thought Ira lived in Tucson.

Hotel he pushes on the Amalfi coast? No, I thought it was one you walk by on the way to St. Sulpice and the Luxemburg Gardens.

My husband is asking why I'm laughing my head off!

I would imagine that a wizard, retired to the south, would enjoy the chance to finally relax and sit a spell...

I like that Ira never seems to "talk down" to new posters, or those who may ask an obvious question or title their thread vaguely. His posts are always positive and informative.

I love Ira's sense of humor....his one liners are usually delivered at just the right moment to break up boring drivel and make me smile or laugh. Or make a way too serious subject laugh at itself...thanks !

I think he’s great! Ira’s Italy report was the first posting that I read on Fodor. I love his writing style. He’s so funny and clever. And so much information. I can’t wait to go to Italy; hopefully he can help me once I convince my husband to stay in Italy for the whole trip.

Thank you all for your kind words.

Fortunately, my Lady Wife is still asleep and can't see my blushes.

The hotel on the AC is Le Sirene.
The hotel near the Luxembourg gardens is the Bonaparte.

I receive no compensation of any sort from them.

I am not Rex.

I use the because it is ( ( I ) ).

I live in the very pleasant town of Madison, GA. Chosen the number 1 small town in the USA by some magazine none of us had ever heard of, but we made up a lot of banners.

You can look us up at http://www.madisonga.org/

I had not thought it would serve any purpose... to respond, in the slightest, to the suggestion that ira and I are the same person.

But since he has refuted it, I'll add my own pedantic scintilla of analytic data to furher clarify the distinction.

ira is the guy who posts an average of 21.3 times a day.

in my own more loquacious style, i muster a mere 8.4

of course, these averages fluctuate; they represent the figures from the past six months. your mileage may vary...

Ira,
You have helped me a lot and I am very grateful. I am from Fort Lauderdale but haven't been there for about 5 years. Next time you go, there is a sub place calles La Spada's that makes the best roast beef subs I have ever had. (If this place has closed that would really disappoint me). It is on Commercial Blvd near the beach by the Intracoastal.
I am sure you will see more of my posts so thanks for the help.
We too are staying at Hotel Bonaparte next week because of your posts.

I'd just like to say thanks for all the advice, whether to me or to others.

For my part, it is read, considered, digested, acted upon or filed (with fodor's) for future reference, but above all it is appreciated.
