internet cafes in Provence and Lyon

Hi,

While traveling, my husband and I keep in touch with our family through the internet and a GSM cell phone (mostly for emergencies). Since we are staying at B&Bs which do not have internet access for guests, I am looking for internet cafes in both Provence and Lyon for an upcoming vacation in September/October. Most of the sites that I've used in past years to find these cafes do not seem to list any cafes with the exception of one that I found in Avignon. Do any of you know any cyber cafes in Lyon, or in the Luberon, Vaucluase, and Alpilles? Thanks again for any help you can give me. --Margret

There's a really nice travel bookshop in central Lyon with a lovely little coffee shop (non-smoking) and cybercafé upstairs. It's called "Raconte moi la Terre" and is located at 38 rue Thomassin in the 2nd Arrondissement, very close to the place de la République.
I've never used the computers there, but they seem to have good facilities, and it's also a lovely place to have cake and a cofféé and look out onto the street below. The travel bookshop also has a great selection of guides (some in English) on Lyon and the surrounding region.

They have a website, and the cybercafé information is here: http://www.raconte-moi.com/GB/Espace...net/index.html

Here's a comprehensive list, by département: http://www.7utile.com/cybercafes/index.php

Also, many French Post Offices have free computers with internet access now (though no Qwerty keyboards).

Go to the French yellow pages at www.pagesjaunes.fr and under "Activités" type: "Cybercafés". You can search by city ("localité") or département (eg Vaucluse or Bouches du Rhône for Provence).

We had a bit of trouble finding internet cafes in Provence. Smaller towns don't necessarily have any. We couldn't even find one in Arles, which I think is a fairly large town. Found one in Aix-en-Provence, though.
