Will it help to obtain the international student card for two teens in order to get discounts at museums, attractions and transportation in Europe?

I read somewhere that foreign students will get the discount by just showing their passport or proof of their age.

I have not traveled with teens since too long ago, so I don't know any better.

Where in Europe ? The rules vary, from country to country, from city to city, even from museum to museum.
For instance, in Paris, most (not all) are free for people under 18 whatever their citizenship is (and yes, they have to show a valid ID).

I don't know about Belgium or Spain, but no, it's not going to help much in France that I've noticed. The places you mention don't usually have any discounts for being a student. If they have discounts, it is usually based on age, not being a student, so such a card is irrelevant. I don't know what kind of transportation in France you expect to use, as I'm not up on possible student discounts for trains, but in-city transportation systems (metro, etc.) don't have discounts for students that I've ever noticed that you could get. Such passes that exist, such as in Paris, are for much longer terms, like a year. Other discounts are just based on age, and teens wouldn't qualify.

Museums may offer free entry below 18 yrs or so, but that is not because they are or are not a student, it's just based on age. So, yes they can get that by showing proof of age because that's what it is. It is not because they are a student.

In Spain there are student discounts at museums and other cultural activities. But the age varies on each one..some are free for everybody under 12, in others under 16 or 18...so if you have an idea of what you want to visit, there's a chance you won't need anything.
On transport are discounts based on age, not for being a student. (the students discounts are local arrangements for the students of a particular city, not even apply to all spaniard students).

In Spain, discount for students is usually available in state and publicly-funded museums and sites. Other places, like churches and cathedrals, vary. Seville Cathedral has 2 euro entry for students under 26 (with ID) instead of usual 7.50 euro, but Toledo Cathedral has nothing (6 euro for all). So I'd say it will be worth while.

I wouldn't bother.

If they are under 18, they will get entrance to some museums/attractions free.

They won't get discounts on trains, metros or city buses.

I went to the ISIC site.
They say that you can get a 20% discount on the Batobus with the card.

A Carte Orange will get you a 30% discount on the Batobus and free rides on the bus and metro.
