Internal flights
We are trying to book air travel between Istanbul and Dalaman however if we purchase the tickets now (in the US) they are twice as expensive as if we were purchasing them in Turkey. Is it safe to wait until we get to Turkey to purchase tickets or is there any other way around paying the US prices?

We just returned from Turkey and had wondered the same thing before we left. What we did was "buy" the tickets online at Turkish Air. It's actually a reservation and that's how you get around paying twice as much. Then go to the Turkish Air counter when you arrive and pick up/purchase your tickets. A lot of the flights we took were pretty full, so I'd definitely recommend reserving before you go.

Thanks for the info...I had made a reservation on Turkish Airlines but I guess made them too far in advance because they will only hold them until Sept. 7 and I don't arrive until the 9th. I guess I'll cancel them and rebook later.

You can find a travel agency who is THY agent as well. You can order the tickets and pay by mail order. You only pick it up from the airport when you arrive....
Actually if you know the dates its very simple to fiz it.
Have fun in Turkey
