Try renting from Hertz at the Carousel du Louvre location, it's in the Parking garage adjacent to and under the Louvre. Solves your parking problem. BUT, book ahead!
Also, hint for all (told to me by the police after a break in). When you park leave the glove box open as well as any center console box and the back cover for a hatchback...show the thieves you have nothing in the car to steal.
