Inexpensive London Hotel

We are going to London in March. We would like to stay in the Paddington/Kensington area. There are a lot of inexpensive hotels available. Do you have any recommendations? Has anyone stayed at the Quality Inn Paddington? Thank you for your help.

Hi
If you do a search on this message board for London Hotels, or for
Paddington, you will find previous postings and feedback.
Good sources for budget hotel bookings are londontown.com and smoothhound.co.uk
I've topped (brought back up to the top for now) just a few previous London hotel postings for you, to get you started

I have stayed at the Burns hotel in Kensington and would recommend it. It is near the Earl's Court tube station. Restaurants, pastery store, and banks are close. You can make a reservation on several web sites but watch for the special for the Burns. They normally advertise at 95 pounds but with the special you can get it for aound 75 pounds (Double) that includes full english breakfast.

Jack,
I used LateRooms.com for my trip to London last year and saved a bundle. The only "catch" about using their service is that you can't make a reservation more than 3 weeks in advance; in return for this "inconvenience", you will get 50% or more discounted of the rate! Check them out at www.laterooms.com
Ciao,
Giovanni
