Yup. I lived in Haarlem for four years. Stopped eating that food(?) when the novelty wore off. Except I do love sate. That is skewered grilled pork with a spicy peanut butter base sauce.

IMDonehere: Bruges is our next stop after Amsterdam. Think I will save my 'chocolate calories' for the Belgium variety!
BigShoulders: Appreciate your feedback on the two restaurants. I checked out Jun. It looks rather nice with its contemporary interior. Its menu is a little different from others. Hope you will come back and let us know how it was!
spaarne: I get it! I used to order Indian thali ('small plates') until I became familiar with the dishes. Now, I order what I like from the menu.
