Recently read about this place, which sounds like a charming Toscana treasure. Ran a search here and only a few folks on this forum have visited, with comments dating back a couple years. Has anyone been here more recently?

Describes how the Ferragamo family restored the estate and the village; it's about an hour's drive south of Florence. More info on Il Borro at www.ilborro.it.

I spent an evening at Il Borro in the summer of 2001. The "village" was truly beautiful with a nice view of the countryside. The restaurant provided perhaps our best meal in Italy. The pasta with wild boar sauce was out of this world. I'd definitely go back!
