Il Borro in Tuscany

Has anyone been to this place? A restored medieval village, looks lovely on the site, but I can't find any reviews. Owned by the Ferragamo family. I'll appreciate any comments. Thanks.

Recently read about this place, which sounds like a charming Toscana treasure. Ran a search here and only a few folks on this forum have visited, with comments dating back a couple years. Has anyone been here more recently?

Article dated March 19, ?With the help of fashionable family, Italian estate restored? can be found on http://www.dallasnews.com/travel/
Describes how the Ferragamo family restored the estate and the village; it's about an hour's drive south of Florence. More info on Il Borro at www.ilborro.it.

I spent an evening at Il Borro in the summer of 2001. The "village" was truly beautiful with a nice view of the countryside. The restaurant provided perhaps our best meal in Italy. The pasta with wild boar sauce was out of this world. I'd definitely go back!

They're quite good!

I just returned from a week vacation at Il Borro, in Tuscany. It was great!

We stayed at Il Cypresso and we felt we were in our own paradise. The food and service are excellent, as well.
