If you had but 1 week in Switzerland, would you do 2 nights Lucerne/5 Muerren or 4 Muerren/3 Zermatt?

As Ingo and I have said before, you should DEFINITELY start in Murren, then go to Lucerne. The Murren to Bellagio trip is a real hassle. Yes, the trip from Zurich airport involves a few train changes, but these are extremely easy and well coordinated. Plus, you can check your luggage all the way through from DC to Murren, which you can't do when you're off to Bellagio.

WOW! You guy's are helpful. Against my better judgement, we'll take your suggestion and go straight to Murren. We're REALLY bad sleepers on airplanes even with Benedryl, a special neck pillow and earplugs!
