Was there the second week of January of this year. Loved it! It was chilly a couple of days and cool the rest of the time. But then again, I'm one of those people who love freezing cold weather to hot, humid temps.

I would love to go in March because the weather will still be cool and the flowers will be out in full bloom. And people are in love, hold hands, kissing, etc.

Ahhh....to be in love in Paris. *sigh*

Still waiting for that to happen.

I always go just before Christmas, returning home in time to spend Christmas Eve/Day with my family here in New York. The decorations all around Paris are beautiful and I feel as if I've been able to celebrate the holidays twice, once in each of my favorite cities.

December was lovely and I'm so glad my parents got to see it too. It even snowed on us one day.

We've been there twice--once the end of Feb. and the other time the 1st 2 weeks of March--and vowed that next time we will go when it is warmer and we can enjoy the outdoors more. We never even sat outside in a cafe because the weather was always too miserable.

It's all good during any month to me. But specifically I liked December and July best. July is hot but Paris looks and feels totally different in summertime than it does in wintertime. And I don't mind the cold of December as I guess the atmosphere is really nice with the Christmas decorations up and the general good feeling of the holidays are everywhere.

The better "Spring" month is May. Not so much possibility of chilly and/or rain.

You just never can tell about the weather in Paris... We just love it when we are lucky enough (in May, June, September) to have positively gorgeous weather, with the flowers in bloom all over, the magnificent window boxes all over, and when the weather is just perfect for enjoying the outdoor cafes, strolling all over day and night, open air boat rides, and the canal cruise...

If we go in the spring, what's the best park to enjoy lots of flowers? Luxembourg Gardens?

Late May - early June is best for the flowers Sandi.
Must sees are:
Bagatelle Rose Garden in Bois de Boulogne
The Irises & Peonies in Parc Floral - Bois de Boulogne.
La Promenade plantee on top of the Viaduc des Arts - Avenue Daumesnil.
And Luxembourg Gardens.
