Thanks to everyone for their advice and web links. I booked our flight this morning. Hope it's the right one. US Airways dropped their price $300 ($943ea)this morning. Yesterday they were at $1254. This was actually the same fare that started this post. It went from $954 to $1254 from Monday to Tuesday and mid morning today it went back down. Go figure huh. I've never flown US Air but they are rated 3 stars which is the same as most U.S. carriers so maybe it will be OK. It's done now so I won't worry. Now I can concentrate on planning what we will do when we get there. By the way that rate is into Paris and out of London on the dates we wanted so I'm satisfied. Thanks again and if anyone has any "can't miss" advice for Paris or London, let me know

I recommend signing up on airline websites for email fare bargains. Air France, Alitalia, they almost all do this now, and sometimes they are very good deals. As much as we worry about getting "advance" bargains, sometimes there are good deals posted only a month or two in advance, as they see they have a lot of empty seats, etc.
Airline pricing fluctuates with the public's desire to fly, among other things, so all sorts of odd things in the news etc can cause a change. It's great to have them let you know about it!

The Tuesday theory dates back to the days when Airlines had to manually update pricing. As a result, they generally only did it once a week. Those days are long gone and airlines can change fares every five minutes if they want.

Congrats on the cheaper flights. How are you getting from Paris to London? Getting that taken care of would be my next priority.
Train fares tend to be released at their cheapest rates and continue to go up as the cheaper fares are purchased.
There are many posters who can help you figure it all out if you start a new thread and post your specifics- date, number of people, etc.

We are planning on taking Eurostar to London. 1 way for the 3 of us is about $262. That seems a little high but I guess not compared to everything else. I have not booked it yet but if I'm interpreting your post correctly I need to go ahead.
