If the shoe fits, please don't post it

You might think of me as a heel, but can we give these shoe posts the boot. They are laced with silly thoughts. Sure, the loafers like to get involved, but they lack sole in their convictions. Only those who write posts late at night (call them sneakers if you will) like these casual shoe comments. It's simply sandalous we allow them to go on. Some of the posts are so simililar, I feel I can hear an Eco. Please hush pupppies. I say, when you see one of these shoe questions, just walk away, because if you answer, there will be trouble afoot.

Certainly gave me my laugh of the week. Now should I spend $250 on a pair of Mephistos to fit in or wear white sneakers? That should make TONGUES wag.

You have obviously danced to the MEPHISTO WALTZ once too often.

I hope I don't put my foot in it, but the amount of 'shoe' posts at Fodor's is no mean feet. Let's hope the subject is on it's last leg. These shoe posts 'clog' up the system!

EnglishOne, does Boots (the chemist chain) still exist in England, or has it been stomped on by a competitor?

to keep it more instep, capo, that should be "stomped on by its arch enemy".

gosh. Hope I don't get hosed for this one, and that no one thinks I'm just being a heel, but I'm flat out of sympathy for people who don't take foot comfort into consideration when planning their travel wardrobes.

One of the fashionistas is rumored to be in the Dordogne, France (wearing black Mephistos???), and no doubt will contribute to this thread in due course.

Lesli, I hope you were not making a dig at another poster. not kind. I wear Mephistos because they fit my hard to fit wide feet long before Americans knew what they or Superas are. And I wear them for the same reason.
I have been to a few forums where I know more of France than they do, but because my English is not up to their standards I am dismissed by a few, but the few who are so great there make it worth while to post as here. Here is a friendlier, funnier, loving group. I hope we can keep it that way and bring back alot who left because they were insulted but that happens when a few become too ïn" or ëxclusive" This is Fodors site, not anyone group's. Let's welcome newbies, bring bacl oldies and try to enjoy this life in troubled times.
