Incredible report, Barbara! Really enjoyed it!
I could see that you were planning meticulously when you were posting pre-trip. I have the same tendency to plan each day carefully, of course, allowing for deviations as necessary. I'm sure that you probably spent as much time planning your trip as you actually did touring. Sounds like it was a tremendous success! Glad your Icelandair flights were good.
Thanks for sharing.

Your report DID give me lots of good info. It's what I would call a "timeless" report since it contains info, for many months to come, for people going to the places you mentioned. Thanks again.

That is correct, it is on Fridays from 10:00am to 12:30 pm. There is usually a big crowd up next to the fence but if you are patient, the folks up front see all they want then leave. The next group can move up and so on and so on. I say it took us about 15 minutes to get to the front so we could see and take all the pictures we wanted. They have food booths offering cheese plates with a variety of different snack size cheeses. Very yummy. It was a fun side trip and we enjoyed it even though it poured cats and dogs.
