I have only used Iceland Air (earlier this year). I understand that Iceland Express fly out of Stansted Airport whereas Iceland Air fly from Heathrow.
I thought Iceland Air reduced their fares significantly to compete/match the fares from the new Iceland Express service. Until earlier this year, Iceland Air had a monopoly on the UK-Iceland route.
I picked up a £99 round trip (excluding £35 taxes) between London and Reykjavik (Keflavik airport) on Iceland Air and they do seem to have lots of these prices available.
Are the fares you are looking at from Iceland Express a lot better than this?

I don't know what your dates are but I just put 20-27 June in for a return flight London Heathrow to Reykjavik with Iceland Air and got a couple of options for a £134 fare.
Are you planning on staying a Saturday night in Iceland? If not, I suspect that's why this fare may not be available to you.
Are you looking at these through www.icelandair.co.uk? Another reason maybe that there's a different fare structure on the .com version. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use the .co.uk site seeing as your journey begins and ends in the UK (you'd just pay in £s and it would get converted on your credit card).
I don't know how these fares work sometimes but it's a bit like you guys in the US recently had fantastic deals with BA from the US but from the UK I couldn't even get close to matching those fares.
Please let me know if I can help you any further.
