Ibiza
We are considering Ibiza for our "sun" holiday this year and I wondered if anyone here has any input.
We are a couple in our 30s with a 9-month baby. We'll be taking our holidays the first 2 weeks in September and want to go somewhere not too hot so the baby can manage. We've travelled with her a couple of times before so no issues on the travelling with baby front.
We are travelling from Ireland so this is just our lazy 2 weeks in the sun. Having said that, we like good food (love tapas), pretty towns and exploring new places.
We've been thinking of Ibiza for a few years now - we are definitely not clubbers but have heard the island has a lot more to offer than just the clubs.
My thoughts so far are to spend a week (maybe more) in Ibiza town and a week (maybe less) in an agritourismo to read books and laze by the pool.
Key requirements of a place to stay are: pool, quiet at night (we are light sleepers and exhausted after 9 months of hard work!) and within easy reach of restaurants.
Can anyone advise if they think Ibiza is for us? Do you have any favourite places to stay that might fit our bill?
Many thanks
Jane

ibiza and formentera would be a peaceful retreat at that time of year, however, there are not SO MANY other interesting towns to visit...
mallorca would offer a lot more, imho. you can find the peace and quiet, beaches, but you have a HUGE island to explore, plenty of rural inns, and the possibility of going over to menorca for awhile also.
but, i have never been on a small island for two weeks so ... maybe ibiza is just what you are looking for. but i think it will mainly be beach.. and not so many interesting villages.
if you want peace and quiet i would not stay in ibiza town. go visit or have dinner.. but sleep at beach.

Thanks very much Lincasanova. I've never been to Mallorca either and it sounds like I should consider it.
It ticks all the right boxes like short flight, good weather in Sept and sounds like there's more to do there than Ibiza. Is there a particular town on Mallorca that would have a good selection of restaurants?
