I think I have the itinerary--Please critique

Thanks to all of you who have been helping me plan my honeymoon in July. Here is the itinerary I have come up with. Please give me your thoughts as I am going to try to book tickets within the next week.
Sat--Get married!!
Sunday night--Leave US for Italy
Monday noon--Arrive and Venice and stay 2 nights
Wednesday--Train to Florence. Stay 3 nights and do side trip to Sienna/Chianti.
Saturday--Train to Rome. Stay 4 nights.
Wednesday--Private car to Positano for 3 nights.
Saturday--Positano to Rome in late afternoon. Stay near airport and fly out of Rome Sunday morning.

Thanks!

It looks good. Personlly, I would take off 1 nite in Positano and do another nite in Venice. You will be tired when you get in to Venice so basically that first day is wasted.

Hi
If you're set on seeing all those places, than it looks fine.
I too would spend more time in fewer places, but that's your call. If you don't want to give up Positano, then reluctantly I'd take a day from Florence and add it on to Venice, since one of your days in V is your first, tired, arrival day.

Dear Amrach,

I agree, add a night to Venice taking one away from Florence.

Also, at that time of year Rome will be very hot, so I would add an extra night to Positano, which will be a relaxing way to end your honeymoon.

My brain hurt by the time we left Florence & Rome! The coast was so easy and enjoyable.

Good Luck & Enjoy!

With the minor adjustment recommended by previous posters, you've got a solid itinerary. Enjoy!

Hi, I was just in Florence and Rome and you are planning on a perfect amount of time to stay there. There is so much to do and see, you will never be at a loss.

When you are leaving Rome, you may want to stay in the Hilton Airport hotel because (as the name suggests) it is right by the airport and they have a shuttle that will take you. The hotel also has a very large and delicious breakfast buffet.

Noodlez--Thanks for the info on the Hilton. I have lots of Hilton points and I looked up that hotel and we will be able to have a free night there! That leaves more money for other Italy adventures

Seems ok if this is your plan, but to shift one night from Florence or Positano to Venice is sound advice.
Personally, but that's only my opinion, I would also spend more time in fewer places.

Do you think 4 is too many cities for 2 weeks? I don't know that we will be able to go back to Italy for quite a long time so I really want to take advantage of being there.

Hi amrach

Nice trip.

May I suggest that you go to Positano after Florence and then do Rome at the end?

It's only 3 1/2 hr Florence/Naples compared to 2 hr Rome/Naples.

I also suggest that you take the ES* trains. They cost a bit more, but they are more reliable. On our Italy trip we took the IC from Naples to Rome. It got there 2 1/2 hr late.

Thanks Ira. Did not even think of doing it that way. I think it makes more sense though since we are flying out of Rome.
