I need January Europe destination recommendation

I have 4-5 days to go to Europe with my to grown sons on January 1. Thought of visiting Greece. Any other suggestions?

OK
First, what's your budget, what do you like to do - active, cultural etc?

From where? With only 4-5 days I'd narrow the list to places reachable nonstop if at all possible, or only one well-timed connection.

If Argentina is in Europe, then New Zealand must be, too! That would be my choice for January if I wanted someplace warm.

I would pay strict attention to the length of flights. We looked at a trip from Seattle to Malaga Spain and some of the options took 20 hours going and 40 hours coming back. That would kill the buzz on any destination.
