I am in desperate need of a pub that shows American football!
I will be in London November 13-19, and I would love to watch the Monday night football game on the 15th. The problem is that the game is on at 21:00 in the US, meaning that it's 2:00 in London (if in fact it is shown live). The flat I'm renting does not have Sky TV, so if anyone has any idea of where and when I might be able to watch the Monday night game I would REALLY appreciate it!!

there's a website for everything these days...
www.sportspubs.co.uk
The main problem you're going to have is the time. Normal pubs close at 11.30pm, some have late licenses, but even then a 2am start is pushing it.
HOWEVER, all is not lost. Here are details of a 24hour American diner that is apparently THE place to catch sport at unreasonable hours. I'm guessing you could phone them to ask if your game will be showing...

hey_now12,
Monday night gridiron is shown on Channel five, which is a terrestrial channel - in other words, you won't need Sky TV.
I've checked their website & they have live NFL scheduled for 1.20 a.m on the Tuesday morning. They will start the show with a round-up of the Sunday games & then go on to live coverage of the main event.
You can check this yourself at:

Jim here has given you the best response. You can find further info at www.nfluk.com.
I would steer away from taking advice on this topic from a man who insists on referring to most on this forum as "my dear".

I agree with Ira. If you are this dependent on American "football" then you should stay home. By the way, I have always felt it should be called handball since feet seldom touch the ball during the commercial fest mistakenly called a "game".......

My god the snobbishness that some people expose about travel on this board astounds me sometimes. Who cares if he wants to watch American football on his holiday? It's his holiday, not a cultural initiation test!
I've often watched England play football (the 'real' football) when abroad. I actually love watching it with people from different countries and different perspectives. And it's only for one night!

I'm not going to criticise anyone for wanting to see their team play whilst on holiday.
During a trip to Florida a couple of years ago I found myself in an Orlando bar at 9.00 a.m. watching my beloved Glasgow Celtic playing live on TV. I might add that the bar was packed with other Celtic fans too!
