HRS - Hotel Booking portal

Has anyone dealt with a hotel booking company HRS? If so what was your experience? If not any ideas on how I could find out if they are a reliable company with who to book a hotel. I have tried googling them, and haven't found anything negative yet. Thanks

We have used them several times and have always gotten exactly what is offered, nothing more but nothing less. I have always found them to be reliable and easy nto work with.Be sure to read the cancellation policy very carefully before booking.

We used them last month for a hotel in Munich. Got a good deal. No problems or surprises except that we got a free fruit basket and 2 mineral waters for booking thru them. Seems to me one of our German Fodorites said they are the largest hotel booking service in Germany.

It looks like the business is run for more corporate bookings than individual vacationers.

Also look at www.booking.com to see if you can get price comparisons for the locations you are looking at.

hrs is good with decent rates, have used it about 50 times or more. Had trouble with a hotel in India, they couldn't do much, but removed it from their list and sent me a book and a classic CD.

Lufthansa and probably other airline credit card owners get lower rates with hrs on many hotels if you book via www.milesandmore.com

Thanks everyone. HRS had the lowest rate for a hotel in Thailand. Glad to hear good reviews on them.

HRS' hotels usually have a very flexible cancellation policy. Most hotels I booked via HRS (business, leisure, 100+) could be cancelled w/o penalty until planned arrival day 6pm.
Pre-payment is the exception, usually only for even more discounted rates. Cancellation (and I had to cancel quite a few rooms over the years) was always easy and never caused problems so far.
Many hotels don't even ask for a CC if you arrive before 6pm and give you a confirmed reservation (until 6pm).
My company also got them as their dedicated/compulsory accomodation supplier for any business trip of the 2K+ employees.
