If it's the right Cap One credit card you will pay NO foreign conversion fees. I also have a Cap One current account with an ATM card that charges no conversion fee and absorbs up to $25/month in ATM fees, but I don't think that that account is available since they took over ING.

This gives me hope! I'm planning on selling some clothes, shoes and ceramics on eBay to put the money toward my trip this June! I'm not sure I'll be able to bring in as much as you did but you've inspired me to get going with it!

lowcountrycarol - I did that too - didnt get as much as you BUT over $600!!! local jewelers is the key - pawnshops arent going to give as much!!
