How To Purchase Train tickets From Geneva To Turin

My wife and I will be traveling from Geneva to Turin with the least connection. We know there is not direct trains between these two cities. Need to know best website to purchase train tickets. Easy to navigate and able to pay with credit card. Also that we can select the seats.

Bus is faster and direct - no connections.
If you want to take the train then look on the swiss rr website sbb.ch

There are usually 4 daily buses trough the Mont Blanc Tunnel, except Wednesday and Thursday. Journey time 4 1/2 hrs, Fare 18 EUR
google for flixbus
Trains are more comfortable, but slower and more expensive (5 1/2 hrs, standard fare 120 EUR, but often huge discounts).
There are 6 daily trains with only 1 change, either at Milan (big station and long ways) or at Chambery (smaller station and short ways).

Thank you. Is there a better train company or all train running on the specific day are from the same company? How far in advance can we purchase the tickets?

"Thank you. Is there a better train company or all train running on the specific day are from the same company? How far in advance can we purchase the tickets?"

Rail INFRASTRUCTURE (tracks, signals, railway station buildings) is managed by the respective national companies.
That means:
VIA CHAMBERY:
Geneva - La Plaine: Switzerland
La Plaine Chambery - Modane: France
Modane - Turin: Italy
VIA MILAN:
Geneva - Domodossola: Swiitzerand
Domodossola - Milan - Turin: italy.

for transportation, it depends on the train:
VIA CHAMBERY:
Geneva dp 6.59 and 14.59: French trains and French train staff from Geneva up to Turin
Geneva dp 16.42: French train and French staff up to Chambery, Italian train and Italian staff from Chambery up to Turin
VIA MILAN:
Swiss or Italian train from Geneva to Milan, Italian train from Milan to Turin
Swiss staff up to Domodossola, Italian staff from Domodossola to Turin.
https://www.raileurope.com/ will show the fare for each train

One of the good things about the train are the views, plus you can walk around if you want.
You can also book using The Trainline https://www.thetrainline.com/trains/europe or Rail Europe https://www.raileurope.com/en-gb

I checked the trainline and searched for tickets for Sunday October 15. There is nothing for Sunday but some for Monday. Does it mean that all trains are sold out for that day?
