Frio. My son is a diabetic and used Frio when he travelled for two weeks in Europe the summer after high school graduation. He still uses it when he flies. It keeps insulin cool using water. Type in Frio in Google for sources. I believe I purchased his through medicool.com.

Have your friend find the exact requirements for her medication. Frio products work well for insulin. However, for my medication, it doesn't provide adequate cooling.

Also, if you don't already have your flights...be aware most US-based airlines will not store medication in their refrigerators. They will provide ice. However, other non-US-based carriers may be willing to do so.

You should always ask an expert about medicines, this kind of forum is not appropriate for this type of advise - try a pharmacist, they know best about storage of medicines.

Xalatan do not need to be stored in a fridge once in use - that means once opened they can be stored at room temperature.
Once opened they should not be used for longer than 28 days (4 weeks)
A Pharmacist will be able to gain furhter information that be not be specified in the leaflet - such as recommendations if stored outside the fridge before opening - this may result in reduced expiry date. Also, need to assess the country travelling to - if high humidity or a hot country room temp may exceed limits.
