How to get golf clubs back to U.S.

Going to Ireland for golf (with the guys) then afterwards meeting wife and children in London for travel. Any thoughts on how I can send my golf clubs home from Ireland without me so I don't have to lug them all over Europe?

Contact your airline about unaccompanied cargo.

Shipping them will be pretty expensive - but so are most of your other options.

Are you flying into, and home from, the same London airport? if so, you can take them to London and store them at left luggage - but it will cost about £5 per day. Of course, this wouldn't work if you are flying open jaw.

OR - one of your golf buddies could take them back w/ his own -- as long as he doesn't have so much luggage he will be over the weight allowance.

We're flying back from Rome so storing in London is not an option. One of my golfmates said he'd take them home but his wife who is a Delta flight attendant told him that that would exceed his baggage limit. I'm going to talk to Delta and Fed Ex. Thanks for all the ideas.

Try to send the clubs "home" with one of the guys- and pay the excess fee! See if you can split up some of your clubs in the different bags to keep the weight down.
