How to get from Tossa de Mar to Barcelona Airport?
Hi all -
I'm hoping some travel experts can help me out! I'll be in Spain next July, and am planning how to get to France... a bit early but I like to weigh my options ahead of time. I have a flight to Paris from Barcelona Airport at 10:00AM, and I will be in Tossa de Mar. First off, I'm not opposed to getting up at a ridiculous hour in order to get there on time, because I think this is what is going to happen. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to get there, since I am without a car?
What I think is going to happen is to take the safra bus into Barcelona and then either a taxi or metro into the airport itself. However, the whole transferring from bus to other transport makes me a little nervous when time is of the essence.
My last option is to just book a Ryan Air flight out of Girona that goes into Paris Beauvias... but their website does not list any flight times for next summer. Does anyone know why? Are they stopping service there?

Ryanair has considerably reduced their flights to and from Girona due to some"disagreements" between the Girona Chamber of Commerce and Mr O'Leary ........ plus the fact that Ryanair is now flying from Barcelona El Prat airport. So either they haven't yet added Paris Beauvais to their Girona list or they are planning to cancel the route and to replace it by a Beauvais/El Prat flight. It is too early to know.
To answer your question, the earliest bus from Tossa gets to Barcelona Estacion del Nord at 7.45. You won't have a lot of time to go to the airport in time for your 10 am flight.
Have you considered spending the night in Barcelona?

In order to make this flight you'll need to be at 6:15am bus from Tossa. It arrives BARCELONA Estacio del Nord at 7:35am. From bus station take local Cercanías train (station: Barcelona-Arc de Triomf) to Barcelona Sants and then transfer to another Cercanías R2 train to the airport. This journey is at least 30-40 min considering that you'll need to purchase train ticket.
