How to fax to Italy??
Hi,
Sorry for this totally lame question.
I have a fax number for a hotel in Italy and
(0187 777707). How do I actually use this to fax. I tried just dialing the exact number and it didnt work. Am I missing a country code or something. I have never faxed overseas before, so I am totally clueless.
Thank you for your patience!

Ummm... sorry Patrick - - but unless something has changed, she needs to omit the the initial "0" after 011 39 - - it is used only if calling from within the country.
And of course, this all assumes that the caller is in the United states (or maybe true for Canada also).
In other words, 011 39 187 777707
Best wishes,
Rex

Funny, Rex, but this is currently being hashed over in another thread about calling to Italy.
I know that I thought I had to drop the 0 like I do calling the UK, but when I did that I got a recording in Italian. I redialed it with the 0 and it works.

Okay, Patrick, DebiC can read it - - http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34454255 - - and get thoroughly confused.
And I may have been too quick to post a "correction".

Yep, Rex, you were too quick to correct in this case. You really do need to dial that zero, or at least you do if you're using Sprint from Naples, Florida. Trust me, I've sent about 6 faxes to Italy in the past month.
Debi, I suggest you NOT read that other post, as it may make you never ever want to try to call a foreign country again!!
