How much - Paris to Avignon?

Can someone help me - how much is a return ticket for TGV ride from Paris to Avignon? Need to do some calculations here. Thanks!

Depends on the dates and times, 1st class/2nd class, just like the airlines.

Hi Sue,
Thanks for the reply. Just wanted to have an idea of the price range.
If I were to take 2nd class ticket, would it be around the region of 100euros or less than that?

Try www.sncf.fr, or try the UK agents on www.raileurope.co.uk (and convert from sterling to euros).

You'll get the most accurate prices (i.e., no agency mark-ups or shipping and handling fees) if you take the time to go to www.voyages-sncf.com and click on the English version and input your exact dates.

When using the SNCF website, if your trip is more than 60 days ahead, pick a date within 60 days that is the same day of the week. There are some seasonal differences but you'll get a ballpark estimate.

Just to give you an estimate, when I went to the sncf website (the french one, as the english part doesn't really work) I got a price of 45-55 Euros from Avignon to Paris at the end of May.

Sorry, I should have said that the price I found was for a ONE WAY ticket...

Jackt,

We did CDG-Avignon last month. I bought PREM fares on line. Outbound was 60E each. Return was 20E each.

Thanks for all your replies. JoeG, what's CDG? Can you provide me with the link to the PREM online? Thanks.
