How much daylight in Bergen in early Sept.
I am making my first trip to Bergen and the west coast of Norway in early september and was wondering how much daylight to expect. Also how much daylight in Stockholm?

Hi
In early September you can expect a little more than 12 hrs daylight in both Bergen and Stockholm.
September 21, everywhere has 12 hrs ............ the equinox

Thanks for website - both work - did not see first one since it was only 7 AM and had not had my coffee yet.
With some 20 hours of light each day in late June (when my daughter will be there), how does anyone sleep? With so much darkness in winter, how does anyone ever wake up?

We had thick lightproof liners for guestroom bedroom windows when we lived in Sweden.
Winters are harder ........ I think everyone feels more lethargic.
BTW the sunrise & sunset times can be deceptive. They are a statistical calculation, and may not correlate to hrs of daylight.
Do you calculate sunrise as the top, middle or bottom of the sun appearing on the horizon ?
What if you live in a valley, or below a cliff ?
And a cloudy day reduces the daylight hours considerably.
