Up until a week ago, I used to get on while eating my lunch. Last week my company announced that they would be shutting down the LA office in 60 days. My projects were canceled and what they have given me to do I've been keeping up with with a lot of extra time on my hands. Man the day goes slow when you are looking for work. <BR>

Art, I can relate. totally. <BR> <BR>I got laid off about 2(?) weeks ago (2nd time in 2 years!) I really must get into some other line of business... <BR> <BR>Yes, I have WAY too much time on my hands these days, and no money to take advantage of the situation! (i.e. traveling!) Now I'll have to start all over again to get vacation time. <BR> <BR>"Good luck" to you!

Weeeell, I could gossip with other employees, or toss around a hacky sack like the boys do, or stop and chat with everyone as I "go to the copy machine", but, instead, I read and post on this forum while I'm at my desk. <BR> <BR>Anything to break this freakin' monotony (and keep me from hunting down the next client who starts his tirade "YOU PEOPLE").

Like Colleen and Stacy, I keep the Fodor's window open all day and refresh constantly. I could be doing a lot worse things, and it's nice indeed to hear from and learn from Al, Elvira, Neal, Sally, and all the others.

I can't imagine a job where you can use the internet for your own entertainment! Our internet usage at work is monitored closely and we're fired if go to websites not related to work!

Count me in (although my time stamps may look off because I live in Shanghai). I typically just check in the mornings before work, at lunch, after work, and then when I've hit a lull during the day . . .
