Check the following website: http://www.vesuviana.it/ for trains from Naples to Sorrento. You will have to use private trains - eurorail does not go to Sorrento, Almafi, Pompeii, etc. There are many morning trains, the cost is about $5 or 3.3 EURO, and the trains take over an hour. Plan the train early. In Germany and Austria and other places trains run on time. Italy's trains are notoriously late. For a 10am flight that is International, you may want to consider a late evening train to Naples, and sleeping there. There is a Best Western with very reasonable prices (kids are free) just 2 blocks from the train station in Naples. Across the street is an excellent restaurant with awesome food. I the morning you hop back on the train to the airport - it's pretty easy. Because I didn't sleep on the Almafi Coast, I can't tell you if Sorrento, Almafi, Positano or another small town is better for sleeping. All three towns have things to do, good restaurants, shops, great scenery, etc. Not sure which has the best price. The Trip Advisor website and Rick Steves website might offer more info for sleeping in these little village towns. Best wishes to you!

Check the trips resorts for the AC and they are full of ideas and information on the area. Do note that this is an area where weather matters so the time of year you are traveling might not be the best to see this area. It is quite early in the season. Those with a lot of experience in the AC will be able to help. Perhaps post a new thread with specific questions about the area.
