Yes..no problem but $ 1300 for two tickets??
Anyway I'll go finding out what are the airports that reaches AA from JFK to Europe and see the different taxes.
For within Europe we can use train or bus.

>>We traveled free with the miles on American Airlines but now I find we have to pay 1300 dollars in taxes.I will see if there is a way to lower the cost.<<
Are some of your flights on British Airways (code shared with American)? If so that explains the high fees/fuel charges.

Hi Janisj
But I have the free miles on American Airlines and when I ask for the tickets the website sends me directly by British, don't give me another option. What I will do is choose another point in Europe ( from New York or Miami) that there was no need to go for British.. near Amsterdam and London and get to these countries by train. Maybe Duseldorf may be or maybe just visit Belgium and Amsterdam and left England again.
Thanks for your help.

Instead of using the website, phone American. You should be able to book your miles-flight on an American Airlines flight, assuming they fly from your city of choice. Also, now that AA and US Airways have merged, you can check out their flights...USAir has non-stops to London from Philadelphia and from Charlotte, as well as to other European cities.
When it comes to using miles, BA is the worst, since they have really low base fares, but with high taxes & fees, which are not covered by your miles. ("Free" flights really aren't free!)
