We want a double room(one big bed)and with the least wanted budget U$S 100 per night. Could be?
We wanted to tell you friends of the forum that helped us so much that we are very grateful to everyone and we decided stay 10 days in Europe in London, Amsterdam and Milan... although this last city is in doubt. The only question would be how many days in London because in Amsterdam we have already decided that three full days is enough including a tour to Bruges and back in the day departing from Amsterdam.
OK. Thanks again.

Sorry, but $100US would just about cover a private room in a hostel.

Hi janisj
No problem if we need to spend more but what more we would have to calculate?

Hi annhig
London, Amsterdam and Milan in 1o days. Including a tour to Bruges and back in the day departing from Amsterdam.
What do you think? It seems to be very difficult and we believe that we will suppress Milan.

Yes, i would definitely lose one of them and as Milan is the outlier, that would make sense.

You can have a nice trip to the other three places and enjoy it more as you won't be chasing about. Plenty to see in London and Amsterdam and Bruges is lovely.

Definitely drop off Milan. Not sure if you realizeAmsterdam to Bruges is at least a long trip for one day . From what I recall it's about 4 hours going via Brussels by train. Bruges is worth visiting but very rushed to do in a day.

Hi Northie
Clearly, you are right in everything but as we do so in Bruges. I have to go with the bags and return to Amsterdam to get the plain way back to my country. It's a bit complicated.

Pamlover do you mean you are taking your luggage to Bruges? If so you could leave it in the accommodation in Amsterdam - places will usually hold luggage for you. Again 8 hours travelling , then touring Bruges - not sure how you'll do it!

Hi Northie... agree with you. What happens is that we had seen an excursion that was done in the day but I really think it is not worth.
But my wife had an idea.. something I would like to give me your opinion or also someone who reads this Forum
Go from London to Bruges in the morning by plane or train and enjoy the city all day, book a hotel for the night and in the morning continue touring until the evening and next to head to Amsterdam. That's fine?
About the site offered daily tour is:

Thanks a lot.
Regards.

You could take the Eurostar from London to Lille or Brussel, and a train to Brugge from there. That would probably be the easiest thing to do if you really want to go to Brugge. But I would recommend spending the night in Brugge, in that case, before continuing to Amsterdam. Otherwise you will not have much time.

Remember you loose an hour if you travel from London to Belgium, due to the time difference. You would probably get to Brugge at 11 am at the earliest. And Brugge - Amsterdam will take you 3 hours as well. It would give you at most 6 hours in Brugge. A lot of hassle for a very short visit.

Never in a million years would I take that coach tour. 3,5 hours each way on the bus; and you are bound to get stuck in traffic in the Netherlands, and certainly near Antwerp and Gent. That could easily be 8 hours on the bus.

There are plenty of lovely places to visit from Amsterdam that are much closer. Delft, for example.
If you want to visit Brugge on this trip, make it an overnight stay. It's much nicer in Brugge in the evening and early morning, anyway, after the coaches and daytrippers have left.

In terms of hotels in London, there are every range possible but at the cleaner lower end look out for
Ibis as you have said and PremierTravelInn both of which get close to your budget (with and without breakfast), also do not ignor hostels, the best brand is yha at http://www.yha.org.uk/ which today has 50% sale on for the summer, these offer doubles and larger in some pretty good parts of London. You can also stay in student rooms in some universities if they are on holiday.

We have done back plan according to feedback from you guys and decided to stay five full days in London the next day by train to Bruges and be there two full days. The next day by train to Amsterdam and spend the next full two days in there and the next day return to our country. We do not know if two full days in Bruges is a lot or would have to cancel one of that city and adding it to London or Amsterdam.
Regards.

Pamlover, that's a decision only you can make. I would spend only one night in Brugge, and add some more time in Amsterdam. Brugge is much smaller than Amsterdam.

I think your plan sounds great. Sounds like you really want to see Bruges . I spent 2 nights there when I was living in Belgium and that was enough. True there is much more to see in Amsterdam but you're the one doing the trip.

Another vote for the Tower -- IMHO it's the #1 must-see in London.

As for walking, get yourself a good guide book that has some self-guided walks and pick some that look interesting.

Pamlover...

We've stayed at the Cherry Court Hotel five times in that past ten years. Very, very small but very, very nice -- a really friendly family-run place -- and costs ~75 GBP ($115 at current exchange rate) for a double.

It's a couple of blocks from Victoria Station...convenient for tube and bus.

The trip is arranged. We traveled free with the miles on American Airlines but now I find we have to pay 1300 dollars in taxes.I will see if there is a way to lower the cost.
